ARTAV STAINLESS STEEL PRODUCT WARRANTY
- Nature of Product:
1.1 The Artav Range is manufactured in an ISO9001 plant, same as our OEM approved range with the same quality of raw material, processes and to the same high standard as our OEM parts.
- Extent and Duration of Warranty:
2.1 Your Artav Aftermarket Range product has the following limited warranty:
2.1.1 A 5-year warranty on the stainless steel tubing against rusting (note that this does not include tarnishing of the metal);
2.1.1 a) RUSTING – a reddish- or yellowish-brown flaking coating of iron oxide that is formed on iron or steel by oxidation, especially in the presence of moisture.
2.1.1 b) TARNISHING – lose or cause to lose lustre, especially as a result of exposure to air or moisture.

“Type 304, with its chromium-nickel content and low carbon, is the most versatile and widely used of the austenitic stainless steels. Its alloys are all modifications of the 18% chromium, 8% nickel austenitic alloy. Type 304 proves to be resistant to oxidation, corrosion, and durability.”
2.1.2 A 3-year warranty on the workmanship of the welding and bracketry.
2.1.3 A 1 year warranty on aluminium components regarding oxidation and electrolysis.
2.2 In addition to the above we offer a specific limited warranty on the following Aftermarket Range of products:
2.2.1 Sports Bars: We offer a 3-year warranty against load bin cracking. Note that this warranty will be void in the event of the sports bar being used for tying down any other objects or having any products fitted to it.
2.2.2 Side Steps: We offer a 2-year warranty and a max load capacity of 150kgs.
2.2.3 Nudge Bars: We offer a 3-year warranty and further hold a R20million Air Bag Cover.
2.2.4 Powder Coating: We offer a 1-year warranty on powder coating which applies to all visual parts and brackets. Note that non-visual parts are not covered by this warranty due to the likelihood of stone chipping.

- Limitations on Warranty Coverage:
4.1 Coverage under this warranty will only be effective upon receipt of the original invoice of purchase showing the date and location of the purchase.
4.2 Coverage under this warranty will only be valid if the product is still fitted to the original vehicle. In the event of the product having been removed and refitted to another vehicle the warranty will be void.
4.3 Coverage under this warranty will only be valid in the event of the product being fitted to a vehicle that has not been in an accident. The warranty will further be void in the event of the vehicle being in any accident or collision.
4.4 This warranty does not cover any product that has been altered or modified in any manner whatsoever; and
4.5 This warranty does not cover any misuse of the product, exposure to conditions or chemicals not of a normal environment, any minor accident or damage, the towing or strapping down of any products, the mounting of any additional products for lighting, winching or any other purposes.
4.6 All parts are to be fitted by an Approved Artav Fitment Centre according to the Fitting Instructions issued with the parts.
- Limitation of Consequential Damages:
5.1 The warrantor’s responsibility under this warranty extends solely to the repair or replacement of the product. The warrantor does not assume responsibility for, nor shall be liable for, any special, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Exclusive Warranty:
6.1 This is the only express warranty made by Artav on your Artav Aftermarket Range and no agent, employee, or any other person is allowed to change or add to this warranty.
